Thank you for visiting New Affection. My name is Siobhan and I am a queer, non-binary person living on unceded Duwamish Territory.

I aim to create clothes that make you feel hot and free. I hope to minimize my impact on the environment by using repurposed material when possible and by producing durable, well made clothing that will last for many years. I try to make clothes in as many sizes as possible and I offer free custom sizing for folks who do not fit into my standard sizing.

New Affection is a reference to the roots of my sewing practice. My earliest sewing projects were backpacks made from old favorite worn out jeans and canvas found in a dumpster. My first garments were made for friends, lovers, roommates and pen-pals, each made with details with that specific person in mind. I hope to always keep this mindset of care for whomever might wear the garments I create, even as my practice grows and is monetized. I love caring for old, discarded things and giving them extended life and meaning.

I offer alterations and custom commissions. Please inquire by sending an email to hello@newaffection.com
